THE OPPORTUNITY Nuove Sales is a unique consulting firm that supports European and South American B2B and B2C clients to open or strengthen their sales operations in North America. The firm’s Principals are Europeans who have sold imported products in the US for 15+ years. The executive specifically responsible for growing Nuove Sales’ food-centric line of business previously led a North American-based, European-owned food service sales organization with >$30M in annual sales. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about food. As an entry-level sales representative you will be mentored directly by a seasoned sales executive. Together, you will innovate and drive growth in a strategic line of business. JOB OVERVIEW Nuove Sales is small, growth-oriented, fast-paced company with a flat organizational structure and a very strong team approach. As our newest Food Brand Ambassador and Product Specialist, you will be mentored to develop multi-channel sales with foodservice distributors, retail distributors, foodservice operators and retail operators. In addition, your “ambassador” role exposes you to 360-degree selling by engaging directly in marketing activities. With support from the Nuove Sales in-house marketing team, you will help define a total relationship management strategy (sales + marketing) that over time you will grow to manage and control directly. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Sales Growth Drive penetration and sales growth for multiple food brands through multiple channel sales activities: foodservice distributors, retail distributors, and retail operators.Develop customer relationships through multiple channels including but not limited to; distributor sales meetings, distributor ride-withs, trade shows, operator visits, operator calls, demos and product trainings.Educate customers on appropriate product applications and offer key product features/benefits for maximum exposure and profitability for both foodservice and retail segments. Ambassador Leadership, Product PositioningAssess the competitive landscape (market, brands, price point, packaging, etc.) to inform development and implementation of new product launch, placement, penetration.Strong contribution to development of product communications platform: identify ideal target(s) at every level of the influence chain (broker, buyer, consumer, influencer), and develop key messages, USP, and compelling Call to Action.Own communications between Point-of-Sale operators and distribution channels.Contribute sales-building content to support ongoing marketing activities. QUALIFICATIONS Mandatory A deep love of food and food culture is a must; culinary training preferred.Multi-cultural mindset as it relates to business development between European Food Manufacturers and the North American Market. Prior HistorySalesExcellent customer service attitude and commitment.Discipline to work remotely within a small but nationally-based team.Ability to work within a high paced, quickly changing environment.Excellent “on the fly” judgement, problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Solid interpersonal, presentation and training skills.Capable of using Windows based computer software (Word, PPT, Excel).CRM system use for sales cycle development, as well as managing sales objectives, and time.
